RECOMMENDED’S RODGER DELIVERS TRANQUIL GLAMOUR FOR THE ATLANTIC CITY ALLIANCE

Fresh off the heels of The Hunger Games, Los Angeles-based Recommended Media director Peter Rodger teams up with EuroRSCG to add a dash of classy enchantment to Atlantic City in the new :30 “Do Proximity” for the Atlantic City Alliance. The spot casts a high-end eye on the beachside New Jersey resort city, enticing potential tourists with images of beachside adventures, luxurious spa experiences, glamorous restaurants and nightclubs and world-class entertainment. Rodger recently directed a propaganda film and served as 2nd Unit Director for Gary Ross’ The Hunger Games, which has grossed over $340 million in domestic box office sales to date.

Notes EuroRSCG New York Executive Creative Director Ed Evangelista, “Peter really understood what we wanted to capture on film. We had three cameras going most of the time and we opted for handheld footage because it captured the movement and energy that we felt AC had and needed to be communicated.”

The spot is part of the “Do AC” campaign launched by EuroRSCG last week that targets leisure travelers for a city previously best known for its gambling attractions. Notes Atlantic City Alliance president Liza Cartmell in AdWeek, “We really lost what we consider to be a significant number of visits from just that sort of quick day-trip gaming environment. So we need to replace that gaming customer with a leisure travel.”
