PARK PICTURES FEATURES’ “ROBOT & FRANK”: FIRST OFFICIAL TRAILER RELEASED

Samuel Goldwyn Films and Sony Pictures Worldwide has released the first official trailer for “Robot and Frank”Park Pictures’ debut feature film – from new banner, Park Pictures Features. The touching comedy was a critical success, audience darling and award winner at Sundance 2012. “Robot and Frank,” is directed by Park Pictures’ Jake Schreier and produced by Park principals Jackie Kelman Bisbee, Lance Acord, Sam Bisbee and Galt Niederhoffer. Oscar-nominated Frank Langella leads the film with an “impeccable” performance along side James Marsden, Liv Tyler and Susan Sarandon. “Robot and Frank” will open theatrically August 24.

“Robot & Frank” is a buddy caper.  Set in the near future, aging curmudgeon and retired jewel thief Frank (Frank Langella) lives a solitary life until his son (James Marsden) installs a caretaker robot; against he and his daughter’s (Liv Tyler) wishes.  The robot upends Frank’s lonely life—filled only with books and a visit to his favorite librarian (Susan Sarandon)—with a strict regimen of exercise, diet and gardening.  Stubborn at first, Frank soon realizes Robot has the ability to pull off the most calculated of heists.  An unlikely friendship, and crime duo, is born.
