Bodega

L-R: Janice Wagdy, Corey Rosen

New York/San Francisco-based content creation/production studio BODEGA has expanded its national business development team, bringing on board Janice Wagdy for midwest live action sales representation and Corey Rosen as Senior Creative Account Executive in San Francisco. Liz Laine will continue to rep BODEGA in the midwest, specific to their Animation division offerings. Rosen will lead direct to client business development on the West Coast, leveraging his diverse background in the creative space, spanning work as a VFX supervisor, director, writer and marketing and business development director. Rosen will work out of BODEGA’s recently expanded San Francisco office.

Notes BODEGA Executive Producer/Business Development Bob Cagliero, “We are thrilled with the additions of Corey and Janice and the continued growth of our business development team. Both additions complement BODEGA’s diverse client base and brand trajectory with specific, targeted sales and client service.”

“I like that BODEGA approaches the industry from an adaptive and forward-thinking perspective,” adds Wagdy. “Not only do they have a strong core of roster directors, but when it’s called for, BODEGA can tap its sister post production and finishing brands to offer a truly integrated, all-in solution. That’s a big plus in this market.”

Wagdy’s creative background began at Columbia College, where she studied graphic design, advertising and film. She landed her first job at a large post house in Chicago, starting as an assistant in the graphics department and working her way up to Flame Artist. Her specialization in motion graphics landed her at Digital Kitchen, coming on board as the Chicago office’s only Flame Artist as well as Designer. She was a part of the award-winning team that crafted the opening titles for “Six Feet Under,” which won an Emmy for Outstanding Main Title Design. She made the shift to artist management and representation, bringing with her a unique perspective on the industry gleaned from her immersion in the advertising space as an artist.

“BODEGA truly takes on a diverse slate of work, with a unique focus on branded content and direct to brand assignments, from strategy and initial concept through production and post,” adds Rosen. “This broad scope of work is really exciting to me and I’m looking forward to expanding their presence in San Francisco and beyond.”

Rosen studied Radio, TV and Film at Northwestern University before kicking off his career in visual effects, working as a CG Creature Supervisor and VFX Supervisor for such lauded San Francisco VFX studios as ILM, The Orphanage and ImageMovers. Top film credits include War of the Worlds, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Iron Man and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. He then segued his VFX expertise into directing, helming projects across theater, film and commercials including the Busch Gardens “Cheetah Hunt” spot, which garnered over 5 million views on YouTube. In 2014, he infused his experience in VFX, directing, writing and acting to revitalize the new media and original content slate for Tippett Studio, branching the studio into VR, AR, mobile applications and themed entertainment.
