The Jury for the 2024 AICP Post Awards has done their due diligence in selecting next year’s award winners, many of whom were selected from the industry’s top production and post companies including Honor Society EP Megan Kelly, BANDIT Editorial Editor Peter Sabatino, Mr. Bronx Audio Post Mixer and Sound Designers David Wolfe and Eric Hoffman, Modern Post Managing Partner/EP Charlyn Derrick, Modern Post Head of West Coast New Business Julia King, and Modern Post Editors William Town, Danielle Schneiderman, Garret Tezanos, Graham Patterson, and Sofia Kerpan. 

 

The AICP Post Awards is a branch of the AICP Awards that honors the best post-production work of the year. Artists are recognized for their contributions in specific crafts within the overall categories of editorial, audio mixing, sound design, color grading, graphic design, visual effects, and finishing. The winners will be announced during AICP Week which is being held from Tuesday, June 4th to Thursday, June 6th, 2024 in New York, NY.

Peter Sabatino’s journey into the world of film began with a chance encounter in a film class, igniting his passion for production and editing. Despite initial aspirations for learning about the history of film, he found a home at Bandit, formerly known as Fluid, where he has thrived as an editor. With a focus on embracing emerging digital technologies, Peter has become a cornerstone of the company, embodying adaptability and dedication while continually pushing the boundaries of post-production excellence at Bandit.

Megan Kelly

Founder, Managing Partner, Executive Producer  

 

Megan Kelly is the Executive Producer and  Founder of the bicoastal production company Honor Society. She brings nearly two decades of experience on both the agency and commercial production sides of the business and was an early adopter of the digital content space. While honing her skills in every facet of production with a hands-on approach, she has also earned a reputation for curating and developing creative talent. Before founding Honor Society, she led production teams for such top industry shops as Savage, Shilo, The Sweet Shop, Public Domain, and Cza, as well as launching the Live Action division at Click 3X. Kelly’s work has garnered some of the industry’s most prestigious awards, including One Show, AICP, and Cannes Lions accolades.

Charlyn Derrick

Managing Partner/EP 

 

With over 20 years of experience in post-production, she was instrumental in evolving Modern Post from a boutique editorial shop into an award-winning full-service post-production company with bi-coastal offices. She unites a deep understanding of the creative process with a natural ability for building strong teams, growing creative careers, and promoting healthy company culture; evidenced by the company’s diverse roster and robust following of loyal clients and creatives. Throughout her career, she has produced numerous iconic campaigns and continues to champion excellence in craft to create pathways for diverse voices.

 

Danielle Schneiderman

Editor

 

Originally from Toronto, Danielle’s creative and technical inclinations from an early age laid the foundation for her approach as an editor. She began her career at Lost Planet Editorial, working as a Vault and Client Services Manager while also soaking up every opportunity to learn about the craft and industry hands-on. She stepped up as an Assistant Editor at Union Editorial in 2017 before joining the Modern Post team in 2018 starting as an Assistant Editor, with a recent promotion to Editor. Inspired and driven by the collective talent at Modern Post, she continues to push her style and approach as an editor with every project she works on. 

 

Garrett Tezanos 

Editor

 

Tezanos boasts nearly two decades of experience as an editor with a natural eye for striking visuals and exquisite composition, as seen in his beauty, luxury, and fashion work for such top brands as Shiseido, Victoria’s Secret, Calvin Klein, Neutrogena, Bare Minerals, Christian Louboutin and Aveeno, among numerous others. He has embraced evolving workflows, working alongside brand and agency creative teams to hone in on the intent of a campaign and discover compelling visual narratives. Outside of commercials, Tezanos has also cut music videos and feature films.

 

Graham Patterson

Editor 

 

Graham discovered his passion for music and storytelling at an early age, with an early love of film and the guitar and drums serving as a foundation for his rhythmic approach as an editor. As a multidisciplinary filmmaker, he artfully weaves together key story beats to craft dynamic narratives that take audiences on a journey, regardless of length. Notable work includes the arresting music video “Sugar” for Sufjan Stevens, which earned him an AICP Award for “Best Music Video” as well as a Ciclope Award, Webby Nomination, and inclusion among IndieWire’s “The Best Music Videos of 2020” lineup. His astute eye for detail can also be seen in his work for clients such as Dior, Vogue, and Zegna and in spots and music videos featuring celebrity talent including Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, and Travis Barker.

 

Julia King

Production/Head of West Coast New Business 

 

Julia King, the Head of West Coast New Business at Modern Post, brings a wealth of experience to her role. With a background in production spanning various positions at esteemed companies like TRAFIK, The Mill, and Shortlist Mgmt, Julia has gained a deep understanding of the industry. Her journey from Jr. Sales Representative to Color Producer and eventually to her current leadership position underscores her versatility and commitment in the post-production field. With a track record of success and a passion for forging new connections, Julia is poised to drive growth and innovation at Modern Post’s West Coast operations.

 

Sofia Kerpan

Editor  

 

With a passion for collaboration and a penchant for creative exploration, Sofia Kerpan combines an element of whimsy and hyperrealism with authentic humanity across her body of work. Her distinct ability to hone in the unique creative style on each project is evident in her work on spots for brands such as Nike, Google, Fender, and Square, as well as music videos for top artists including Charli XCX, Gunna, Princess Nokia, Kehlani and Lil Yachty. She earned an MTV VMA nomination for “Best Editing” for her work on Lizzo’s “Good as Hell” music video. 

 

William Town

Founding Editor  

 

With a unique talent for weaving stylized visuals in rhythmic patterns with captivating sound, William Town thrives on close creative partnerships that challenge the discipline to create unexpected, stand-out work. 

With celebrated projects for top brands including Vogue, Dior, NIKE, Hugo Boss, Zara, and Tommy Hilfiger, he has consistently crafted work that is at the forefront of fashion, music, and image-making. From Calvin Klein’s CK ONE relaunch campaign in 2011 to Vogue’s ‘I Love New York’ Film in 2021, his campaigns are consistently recognized with award nominations and wins.

David Wolfe – 

Founder, Mixer, Sound Designer

 

Dave Wolfe started Mr. Bronx in 2011. Since then he has helped it grow the decade-strong company into one of the leading audio post facilities in NYC.  While managing Mr. Bronx, Dave has sound-designed and mixed TV commercials for brands like Budweiser, Coke, NFL, Sony, Cadillac, and many others. 

He is also a union audio editor who has worked on Marvel movies, HBO, Netflix, Hulu TV shows, and several award-winning Independent Films.      

 

Eric Hoffman

Senior Sound Designer/Mixer

 

Eric Hoffman is an accomplished sound designer and mixer with over 15 years of experience in the industry. Currently serving as a Staff Mixer and Sound Designer at Mr. Bronx Audio Post in New York City, Eric has been instrumental in creating immersive audio experiences for TV and film projects since June 2015. Hoffman has also been the trusted sound designer/mixer for Beyoncé for over 10 years. Credits include: Lemonade, Homecoming, Black is King, Formation Tour, On the Run II Tour, Self-titled, Year of 4, Live from Roseland, I Am… World Tour, and more!
