BANDIT Partner/Editor John Piccolo

Times have changed, the industry has changed and now, New York editorial shop Fluid has changed, with a new name: BANDIT. And newly promoted partner: editor John Piccolo (JP). The rebrand of the company at this time recommits the edit shop’s vision to focus specifically on the art and collaboration of the creative editorial process. Fluid has over two decades of experience in award-winning post-production, opening its doors as an editorial boutique and successfully launching sister shops in music and sound, design and production. The SoHo-based studio has grown from a boutique to a thriving bicoastal shop working with top brands such as Pepsi, Samsung, IKEA, JetBlue, GEICO, Toyota, Budweiser, Under Armour and Dell, among numerous others.

JP joined Fluid in 2012 as a staff editor and rose through the ranks assuming a leadership position in the company and building new client relationships which propelled the shop forward.  He has cut notable spots for such top clients as Sony, NY Lottery, Crest, Pepsi, Chase, GEICO and Dell, among numerous others. His knack for comedic timing fused with a passion for creative collaboration results in a diverse reel of comedy and visual storytelling work that is reinforced by his talent for weaving in dynamic audio and VFX.

Notes Bandit Executive Producer Laura Relovsky. “JP has always shared our vision and culture and I am thrilled work with him daily in his new partner capacity. Our team has always evolved with the industry and BANDIT is our next step. Stay tuned too, there’s more news in the next few weeks.”

Adds Piccolo, “I’m excited to expand my role at BANDIT and am grateful for the trusted team of editors who are on board. With all of the creative energy we have in our talent, and the support of our sales and production staff, I know that BANDIT will be a leading creative force in our business and I’m excited to lead that charge.”

In addition to JP, BANDIT’s roster of editors and storytellers include: Robin Burchill, Peter Sabatino, Jim Rubino, Michael Elliot, Zeke O’Donnell and Heather Danosky.

BANDIT is represented on the East Coast by Katie Northy Samson and Jessica Millington.
