NETFLIX REVEALS THE PUNISHER SEASON 2 PREMIERE DATE IN NEW TEASER TRAILER

We’re only a couple of weeks away from The Punisher’s premiere.

Netflix’s Marvel shows may be dwindling, but if The Punisher is also heading for the chopping block, at least Frank Castle gets one more shot at justice before the axe falls.

The Punisher Season 2 will premiere on January 18, according to a new teaser trailer released by the streaming service.

The teaser features Jon Bernthal’s titular vigilante back in his iconic skull vest, juxtaposed with Frank’s Season 1 bestie-turned-enemy Billy Russo (Ben Barnes), who seems to have embraced his role as comic book villain Jigsaw (even if he apparently won’t go by that name in Season 2).

“It’s like a bomb went off in my mind, scattering all the pieces,” Billy says, unwrapping a bandage from around his head to reveal his scarred (but still pretty darn handsome) face. “This face has everything I ever did wrong written all over it.”

Jigsaws seem to be a recurring theme in the teaser – even Frank says, “Every time I try to put the pieces together, something won’t fit,” perhaps implying that his attempts to live a normal, violence-free life are doomed to fail. “You need to let me be what I’m meant to be — I’m the one that does the killing.”
