Moxie Pictures director Martin Granger teams with Jason Sudeikis to bring the U.K.’s ‘other football’ Stateside in the comedic new 5-minute web film “An American Coach In London,” the :60 “Meet Coach Ted Lasso” and :30 “Coach Ted Lasso There’s a Misunderstanding” for NBC out of The Brooklyn Brothers, NY.  The campaign announces that NBC’s family of networks will be carrying the 2013-2014 Premier League season, and all feature the character Ted Lasso (Sudeikis) coaching Premier League soccer in American football style.  The Brooklyn Brothers, who are also responsible for recent award-winning campaigns for New Era, developed the football coach-turned soccer coach personality entirely in house.

Granger chronicled Ted Lasso’s attempts to manage an actual Tottenham Hotspur practice; the team’s first of the season.  We also see his clueless—and comical—press conferences, phone calls and locker room team talks.

One of the most popular soccer leagues in the world, NBC’s comprehensive Premier League coverage will begin August 17th.  They are the first major American network to bring the league’s entire season to U.S. audiences.
