Bicoastal Pony Show (www.ponyshowent.com) signs director Brad Silberling for U.S. commercial representation. With notable feature directorial credits including Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and City of Angels, he has also directed numerous spots for such top brands as Walmart, Coke, Pepsi, Owens-Corning, Alliance Insurance and US Cellular.  Most recently, Silberling completed a multi-spot campaign for TD Ameritrade with Pony Show out of Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.  The production team included a highly seasoned group of film professionals including Academy Award®-winner DP Philippe Rousselot and four-time Academy Award® nominee production designer Bo Welch.

Notes Executive Producer Jeffrey Frankel, “We brought Brad in to do a hugely ambitious multi-spot campaign for TD Ameritrade.  We knew his visual and storytelling skills were good, but this campaign showed us that he is capable of working on the highest level with Hollywood’s greatest technicians and artists and a top ad agency with very high expectations.  That he succeeded brilliantly is an understatement.  We are thrilled and delighted to have Brad on board.”  Adds Silberling, “I’m thrilled to be joining forces with Pony Show for the kind of artful, inventive commercial work they’ve come to specialize in.  Our work together on TD Ameritrade’s new campaign reminded me just what a creative pleasure short-form storytelling can be for a filmmaker.”

Silberling was previously represented by Anonymous Content.

UCLA Film School alum Silberling began his career in the film industry prior to graduation, working on set as a PA in 1986.  He remained busy as a director and writer of numerous TV series until his first feature film in 1995: the family classic Casper for producer Steven Spielberg.  His other feature credits include, Land of the Lost, starring Will Ferrell and Danny McBride, the critically acclaimed independent feature, 10 Items or Less, starring Morgan Freeman and Paz Vega, which he wrote, directed and produced; the Academy Award-winning box office hit Lemony Snicket’s a Series of Unfortunate Events, starring Jim Carrey and Meryl Streep; Moonlight Mile, which he wrote, directed and produced, starring Dustin Hoffman, Susan Sarandon, Jake Gyllenhaal and Holly Hunter; and the box office hit, City of Angels, starring Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage, which he directed as his second feature.

He spent the next several years directing for television, primarily for producer Steven Bochco, on popular shows including NYPD Blue and L.A. Law, among others.  He is married to actress Amy Brenneman, is the father of two children, and resides in Los Angeles.
