New York, NY, July 7th, 2016: Bicoastal production company Park Pictures director Jake Schreier breaks down the fourth wall in an entrancing new music video for Francis and the Lights’ latest track “Friends,” featuring Bon Iver and Kanye West. The stripped-down music video leads in with an understated cameo by Kanye West and features frontman Francis Farewell Starlite’s stylized moves, topped off with a choreographed duet section with Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. Moving from a softly lit white room where the characters dance through empty space onto the contrasting darkness and hot lights of a stage – and back again – the video elevates the one shot approach.
Schreier is a former Francis and the Lights band member and longtime video collaborator. The NY-based band also created the original soundtrack for Schreier’s debut debut feature film Robot & Frank.

“This is a performance that took place in a moment in time, and you get to watch it as it happened,” notes Schreier. “We wanted to use the camera and the space to help tell a story about the people in the video and their relationships to each other.”
