The spot takes a rear view of the final shakedown of a marathon. The race’s champions have long ago crossed the finish lines and the spirited yet novice athletes are making their final push to the end. A cleaning crew emerges in frame; a family crosses the street. Only then do they see the “last” runner. Not conventionally athletic, but no less determined, the runner chooses not to quit, even as she watches the race disappear. Instead, she takes a deep breath and picks up her pace. The narrator states, “You are not a runner. You are especially not a marathon runner. But, at the end of this, you will be.”
