This morning CTV BC Morning Live — one of Canada’s top morning shows – featured Zoic Studios Andrew Orloff discussing Oscar nominated ‘Once Upon a Time’ and its extensive visual effects. Orloff is Vfx Supervisor on the series.

Says Orloff, “It’s great to work on a show that has so many viewers and to show that weekly episodic televison is there, every week, with visual effects.” The series features realistic, high quality vfx to capture fantasy scenarios call for in the scripts. Orloff explained how he and his team of vfx talents at Zoic Studios capture “the grandieur of the fairy tale land” and facilitate the show writer’s imaginations using virtual sets, creating virtual characters, and utilizing Zoic’s proprietary vfx technology.

Once Upon a Time’s 2nd season debuts on Sunday on ABC.

“We only have 15 days to do these shows, so it’s great to be recognized visual effects for each episode,” Orloff explains. “It’s great to be recognized by the televison academy for the work we did.”
