Bicoastal music shop Butter Music and Sound has added producer Ryan Faucett in their New York studio. Coming to Butter from MassiveMusic, Ryan’s passion for all things music led him to hit the road as a tour manager before getting into commercials and has since composed and produced spots for the likes of Reese’s, Coca-Cola, AT&T, Whole Foods and Motorola, among others.
“Ryan’s musical background and winning personality have made him a perfect fit for our team,” notes Butter Managing Director Ian Jeffreys. “Butter has seen a lot of expansion over the past two years, and now that our Venice studio is thriving, it was clearly time to staff up. We’re so happy to have Ryan with us. Although it’s been a little more than a month, it feels like he’s been here forever.”
Ryan’s journey with music began at age 15 when he was gifted a Yamaha acoustic guitar and a recording interface. Throughout high school, he recorded local musicians as well as his own pop punk band, The MiDcity Kids. After earning a business degree, he could no longer deny his melodic inclinations and went on to study Music Production at ACM@OCU in Oklahoma City. He made his was to Nashville, TN following graduation and explored life on the road as tour manager for country music group Natalie Stovall & The Drive. After a year and a half of hotel rooms and buses, Ryan made his way to NYC where he landed at MassiveMusic, producing and composing for a wide range of commercial campaigns. Outside of the office, he can be found climbing the rock wall at Chelsea Piers, performing improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade or brainstorming bad jokes for his Twitter feed.
