Resistance Radio: Amazon Studio’s Immersive Music And Storytelling Experience.
The world of Amazon Original Series The Man in the High Castle just added an exciting new dimension. On March 6th, Amazon Studios launched their immersive music and storytelling experience Resistance Radio, which gives fans of the resistance a whole new narrative curated with music from the ’60s re-imagined some of today’s top indie and alternative musicians.
Resistance Radio is scripted to bring the listener into the world of pirate radio stations broadcast in secret from basements, boats and pickup trucks. Resistance Radio DJs—Miss Evangeline, Bob Montez and Jake Rumiel—host four hours of narrative storytelling, “broadcasting the Resistance movement’s underground message to all; with the hope that they can keep the memory of a former America alive.” Participating artists include the likes of Beck, Karen O, Sharon Van Etten, The Shins, and more. Amazon partnered with Nylon Studios for the virtuoso sound design, mixing and voice casting behind the site.
Listeners can tune in at Resistanceradio.com or on their Amazon Echo devices. South by Southwest attendees will be able to step further into the underground world of Resistance Radio with the “Amazon Prime Video Presents: The Man in the High Castle Resistance Radio Headquarters” – a fully immersive showcase located inside a top secret broadcast bunker.
