Visual effects for the much-touted Unicorn Apocalypse spot “Meeting with Tim Burton” were produced at The Mission in Venice, CA. The spot features the notoriously quirky director sharing his ideas for a movie based on the popular game, utilizing Samsung technology. The comedic commercial ends with Burton saying of the brainstorming, “This is getting too wierd.” The much-shared commercial was directed by Michael Downing via Epoch Films and aired during the 2013 Oscars ceremony broadcast. The campaign was mixed by Sonic Union’s Michael Marinelli.
