Digital studio Reel FX (Dallas/Santa Monica) announces another addition to its commercial team with producer Sherry Wallace. Wallace comes from Reel FX’s entertainment division, where she has worked as a production manager for the past three years. She now brings her 13 years of CG production experience in video games, theme park rides and feature films to the commercial division. In her new role, Wallace is already co-producing both a music video and four-spot CG/live-action hybrid campaign for The Richards Group’s recent re-brand of Chuck E. Cheese’s.

Reel FX Commercial General Manager Keith McCabe adds, “From the moment I met Sherry, I knew she was a producer extraordinaire. Her ability to manage schedules, lead a crew and interact with clients is second-to-none. She has held production spots with some of the top studios in the animation and VFX business, including our own. It’s great to have a producer on our roster with her outside industry experience who also knows our studio inside and out. She is the perfect fit for this position.

Notes Wallace, “I couldn’t be more excited about my new role at Reel FX and the opportunity to bring my CG experience to the studio’s short-form projects. I look forward to working with Keith, Dale Carman and the rest of the talented commercial crew and continuing to build our pipeline, process and good client pool together.”

About Sherry Wallace:

Wallace studied Biology at Virginia Commonwealth University and Cellular Adoptive Immunotherarapy at UPMC. She worked professionally as a medical technologist in Virginia and Pennsylvania for five years before her husband’s job took the family to Los Angeles. While studying for her California Medical Tech license, she was offered a position with Blur Studio and began her entertainment career. She was quickly promoted to producer. In that role, she oversaw a variety of projects including 3D animation and VFX for feature films, ride films, CG/live-action hybrid commercials and motion graphics. After six years, she moved to Rhythm & Hues as a visual effects production manager, supervising the 2006 animated feature, “Garfield 2, A Tail of Two Kitties.” In 2007, she headed to Austin, Texas, to work as a producer at Midway Studios where she supervised teams across seven global studios as well as extensive internal and external development. In 2009, she joined Reel FX to serve as a production manager in the Dallas studio’s entertainment department.
