Park Pictures co-founder and Director Lance Acord has earned a 2015 Emmy Nomination for “Best Commercial” for his work on the Nissan Super Bowl XLIX spot “With Dad,” out of TBWAChiatDayLA. The spot shows the ups and downs of the relationship between a racecar driver, his wife and son, following the struggles of the hardworking and close-knit family as they strive for togetherness across the years. The spot was the brand’s first Super Bowl offer in 18 years.

Acord took home the “Best Commercial” Emmy last year for his poignant Apple “Misunderstood” spot out of TBWAMedia Arts Lab, Los Angeles. He was also nominated for a 2013 Emmy for the inspiring Nike “Jogger” spot and a 2012 Emmy for the Volkswagen “The Dog Strikes Back” spot out of Deutsch LA. Acord’s work has also been nominated by the DGA for “Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials” in 2004, 2012 and 2013.

In 2010, Park Pictures won an Academy Award for the company’s first narrative film, live-action short “The New Tenants,” starring Vincent D’Onofrio.
