VILLAGE INN: BREAKFAST DELIVERED BY WORK IN PROGRESS

Village Inn, a 61-year-old restaurant chain, is reinventing breakfast delivery by allowing you to order right from your bed using their smart alarm clock or Alexa Skill. Skip the snooze button and order your breakfast for delivery from your bed.

To introduce the public to its new breakfast delivery service, Village Inn recruited the help of Boulder-based ad agency, WorkInProgress, which created a limited number of a one-of-a-kind smart alarm clocks – with a Village Inn breakfast order button.

The agency took it a step further is building an Alexa skill so every Village Inn fan can order breakfast in the future from the comforts of their own bed.

Users can create a profile at VillageInn.com that they can link the alarm clock to, making ordering breakfast so easy it’s over-easy.

Once the Alexa Skill is setup all users have to do is say: “Alexa, tell Village Inn I want my breakfast.”

A video-based campaign was created to support the launch of online ordering and delivery. The spots show Village Inn’s delivery services coming to the rescue in familiar situations.
