L.A.-headquartered production house and creative agency SunnyBoy Entertainment is expanding its original documentary division with an office in Atlanta amid the city’s continued ascension as an entertainment hub.

Additionally, the studio has brought on Emmy-nominated Jay Allen as its new VP of unscripted and Nikki Byles as director of talent acquisition and development, and has also promoted Tristan McClain to the head of film strategy and development.

The now-bicoastal prodco netted an Emmy nomination for its 2023 documentary series Welcome to the A: 50 Years of Hip Hop in Atlanta, which premiered globally on Peacock during Black History Month and is now streaming on Tubi and AppleTV.
