Charlie Tetrick has been a cornerstone of the Kansas City advertising and business community for more than 30 years. As President and CEO of WTA, he has led the agency through decades of growth, innovation, and national recognition. After merging his own company with Travis Walz in 1993, Charlie took full ownership just one year later at the age of 27, following the passing of his mentor. Under his leadership, WTA has become a premier full-service agency serving regional, national, and international clients, all while keeping talent, jobs, and economic growth rooted firmly in Kansas City.

Charlie’s leadership style is both visionary and grounded. He’s built an agency culture that thrives on creative excellence, strategic insight, and community impact. His ability to attract top talent and longstanding client partnerships has positioned WTA as a trusted partner across industries, from sports and entertainment to healthcare, retail, and beyond. Charlie is deeply invested in the success of his team, his clients, and the broader Kansas City economy, leading with integrity, humility, and a forward-thinking business mindset.

Beyond the agency, Charlie is an active civic leader whose influence extends into military, governmental, and nonprofit sectors. He serves as the Civilian Honorary Squadron Commander of the U.S. Air Force 303rd Fighter Wing and sat on the Executive Planning Committee for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. His service includes appointments to the Kansas Governor’s Economic Council under two administrations, leadership in the Greater KC Chamber Centurions Program, and key roles with organizations such as the American Royal, Boy Scouts of America, KC Ad Club/AAF-KC, and the American Association of Advertising Agencies.
