TRY’s fiery feist of colour
Grammy-nominated DJ, producer, and songwriter Sam I – one half of TRY – has directed a vibrant video for the duo’s new single Fire Sign (feat. Mikky Ekko) that’s saturated in mouth-watering hues.
The masked dancers in this beautifully designed promo swirl around in Busby Berkeley film-esque people patterns and are… ahem… redolent of protest group Extinction Rebellion’s scarlet-robed/white-faced Red Brigade.
Sam I, (aka Sam Spiegel, formerly of hip-hop duo N.A.S.A.) and Nashville producer/songwriter Shmuck the Loyal, released Fire Sign as the teaser for Chapter Two of their upcoming debut LP due later this year.
Produced by Spiegel’s Squeak E. Clean Studios and Mandala Motion Pictures, the film was shot over three days in Mumbai, India and is the latest entry in TRY’s impressive visual catalog, following last year’s music video for Clarity, ft.EARTHGANG, from the Chapter One EP, was nominated for a Creative Film Award.
