Creative news publication Shots has unveiled the shortlist for the Shots Awards The Americas, recognizing top work across the advertising industry, including production, music and sound, casting, editing, and craft disciplines.

This year, BUTTER Music and Sound and Caviar are each represented across multiple categories, underscoring their continued impact across music-driven storytelling, performance, and comedy. From standout use of licensed and original music to sharp casting and editorial execution, the shortlisted work reflects the creative strength and versatility of both companies.

KFC’s “Obsession” stars Matty Matheson and follows Colonel Sanders’ pursuit of perfecting his iconic recipe. Anchored by a dynamic score, the film brings intensity and cohesion to its cinematic storytelling. The campaign also extends into an interactive puzzle experience, inviting audiences to engage beyond the film.
Nike x A’ja Wilson, “One of a Kind”:

Nike’s “One of a Kind” campaign celebrates A’ja Wilson and the launch of her signature sneaker, the Nike A’One, through a culturally driven, music-led film. Centered around a jump rope vignette set to a reimagined “Miss Mary Mack,” the spot captures themes of Black girlhood, rhythm, and intergenerational influence.
Panda Express, “Karaoke”:

Panda Express’ national campaign from Opinionated centers on the familiar question, “Have you eaten yet?”, celebrating food as a universal expression of love within Asian American and immigrant communities. Featuring aunties delivering heartfelt musical performances, the spot blends humor and authenticity.

Skip’s “Writer’s Room” brings cinematic comedy to life, starring Seth Rogen as part of a frustrated writing duo whose every idea is undercut by the simple solution of delivery. Blending rapid-fire vignettes, film references, and surreal set pieces, the spot playfully explores creative roadblocks by turning imagined scenes into reality.
