2 Minutes With … Jack Bradley, CEO of HiFi Project

Plus ‘We Wish you a Figgy Christmas,’ Amstel Light and Jeff Bridges

Jack Bradley has over 25 years of experience in production across all facets of the business in commercials and film. With a passion for music and visual storytelling, he brings excitement for connecting people to his role of CEO and executive producer at HiFi Project. In his 12 years with the company, Jack has built a lineup of repeat clients, including top brands such as Progressive and DraftKings.

Eager to explore the process of music production, he joined the boutique commercial house Singing Serpent as executive producer. He later launched his own sound shop, BlackBoard 3, before joining HiFi in 2010.

We spent two minutes with Jack to learn more about his background, his creative inspirations, and recent work he’s admired.

Jack, tell us…

Where you grew up, and where you live now.
I grew up in Braintree, Massachusetts (just south of Boston), and currently live in Dover, New Hampshire.

Your earliest musical memory.
Being obsessed with Bugs Bunny performing Hungarian Rhapsody #2 in C-sharp minor by Franz Liszt in the famous “Rhapsody Rabbit” sketch.

Your favorite bands/musicians today.
Mew, White Lies, Run the Jewels, Snarky Puppy; honestly, too many to list…

One of your favorite projects you’ve ever worked on.
This insane thing I did for Amstel Light YEARS ago, where I had to tune beer bottles, write arrangements of holiday songs and then hire talent to show up and actually perform it live in NYC. It should not have worked, but it did, and it still lives on YouTube! This was pre-social media!

A recent project you’re proud of.
Gotta go with SPAM—We Wish you a Figgy Christmas. Because of the complexity of the record, we tried to work in a classic nature but also really focused on how the music relates to the animation as it’s happening. It was a perfect marriage of the expertise we have in music creation with live recording, voice casting, final mixing and having a ton of fun doing it all together.

One thing about how the music world is evolving that you’re excited about.
I’m excited that things seem to be slowly but surely moving to a place where artists are considerably more in control of their own art, and able to interact directly with their fans on a high level thanks to social media and the digital world. This will only become a bigger factor if Web3 starts to truly become a thing and be more of an everyday choice for the public.

Someone else’s work, in music or beyond, that you admired lately.
According to so my Spotify recap, I was obsessed with Odesza’s The Last Goodbye album, which is the first album in a long time that gave me legit piloerection (a term I learned from the next bullet point!).

A book, movie, TV show, or podcast you recently found inspiring.
Really enjoyed reading “This is What it Sounds Like,” which was gifted to me and how it breaks down some of the big questions I’ve always wondered about the effect of music on humans and why we like what we do.

An artist you admire outside the world of music.
Jeff Bridges. The guy has adapted and changed so much in his career and has always kept it authentic.

Your favorite fictional character.
Keeping with a theme, I’ll have to go with The Dude from The Big Lebowski.

Someone worth following on social media.
Retro Wrestling Podcast: Our Vantage Point, if you were EVER a fan of ’80s/early ’90s wrestling. These guys are so passionate it makes my head hurt.

Your main strength as a marketer/creative.
I care a lot—perhaps too much—about the creative, the creators, and the process.

Your biggest weakness.
Can my strength also be my weakness? I think probably my biggest weakness is that I tend to take on too much.

Something people would find surprising about you.
I was adopted when I was 4 days old.

One thing that always makes you happy.
Seeing my children.

One thing that always makes you sad.
Learning about animals that have been hurt, abandoned, or killed.

What you’d be doing if you weren’t in the music business.
I think I’d make a fantastic real estate agent. But I’ve also pondered many times about opening up my own coffee shop, as I’m obsessed with coffee and I actually love to bake.
