The renowned ABC TV network has officially released new show, named “The Off Season” and developed by California-based Retrofit Films. Parallel to ABC’s launch, Light Sail VR, the Hollywood-based VR production firm has launched a 360-video for the series of “The Off Season”. With this new program, Light Sail VR empowers viewers to experience the same dreads and disappointments as the series’ characters feel.
In the series, the main characters Jack and Laurie inherit a motel from a relative. But the next day they find out that they are trapped and the motel is dilapidated. In the VR experience there have been captured the series’ all details, taking viewers to the miserable Motel Ship Helms, where occur shocking events.
During the series production, Light Sail VR has been restricted to only one actor. The company has developed an extensive production, precisely calculating the movements’ timing and positions of all characters.
Aiming to transfer the full mysterious effects to viewers, Light Sail VR has also included various techniques of spatial audio, as well as menacing visual cues. Evoking emotional responses, the experience immerses viewers into the story virtually.
