This week at POSSIBLE 2025, Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment and MassMutual came together to discuss their recent “Stay Ready” campaign, which featured athletes Flau’jae Johnson, Madison Keys, and Christen Press. The campaign focuses on increasing women’s confidence in managing their finances.
The panel included Laura Correnti, CEO and Founder of Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment; Kristen Lane, Head of Brand Strategy and Customer Growth at MassMutual; NCAA Basketball Champion and hip-hop artist Flau’jae Johnson; and Chris Detert, COO of Influential.
The room was packed as the panel kicked off. The rise of women’s sports over the last 24 months has sparked important conversations like this one. Prior to the boom of the 2024 March Madness tournament, investment in women’s sports just wasn’t there. Deep Blue recognized the momentum early and got in front of it. An upcoming Deep Blue initiative is the The Women’s Sports Yacht Club, debuting June 16–18 at Cannes Lions 2025 and supported by JPMorganChase and Genius Sports.
The three women shared the story behind their partnership, which traces back to Cannes Lions 2024, where Flau’jae performed at Deep Blue’s Women’s Sports House, impressing both Laura and Kristen. Their connection deepened over the months that followed, eventually leading to dinner conversations that would spark the “Stay Ready” collaboration.
During the panel, Flau’jae spoke candidly about how the NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) policy shift created uncertainty, but also opportunity. She and her mother saw it as a chance to build generational wealth. Flau’jae even gave a heartfelt shoutout to her mom, Lakia Brooks, who was seated in the front row cheering her on, and credited her as the ultimate “momager.”
To close it out, it became clear that everyone on stage was enamored by Flau’jae, the multi-hyphenate athlete, entertainer, marketer, and performer.
