Rodeo Show directing duo McCoy & Meyer have won a Best of the Midwest award at the Midwest Independent Film Festival for the Devin Kirtz (ft.Marley Waters) music video “My Day.” The video shows that youth surpasses any age as a rebel granny lives her birthday to its fullest reckless potential, basking in champagne pools, ruling the streets in sportscars and getting some spontaneous ink to commemorate the occasion.
The Best of the Midwest award winners are chosen through an online voting process, where voters select the best films and filmmakers in each category. McCoy’s “My Day” outpaced a pool of 300 first-round videos and final vote of 5 videos to be selected the winner. The ceremony recognizes all films screened during the Midwest Independent Film Festival, which holds screenings on the first Tuesday of every month year-round.
