Rodeo Show Founder/Executive Producer Raphael Leopold

Production company Rodeo Show has opened its doors at its new home in Venice, adding new directorial talent to its existing roster of burgeoning media filmmakers. Launched in 2015 and led by Founder/Executive Producer Raphael Leopold, the shop has produced content for such top brands as BMW, Chevy, Chrysler, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, McDonald’s, Yamaha Motorcycles, Disney/Marvel and Hilton Hotels, among numerous others. The new talent includes award-winning comedy duo Mccoy | Meyer, Simon Cracknell, Bryce Gubler, and Nick Jones. The new directors join Rodeo Show’s existing roster, which includes Him & Her, Ross Cooper, Oliver DeFilippo, Michael Koerbel, Kevin Osgood, and Devin Super Tramp.

“We are always on the lookout for both emerging and seasoned directorial talent to join our roster and all of these directors bring a true passion for what they do to the table,” notes Leopold. “Having a compatible energy between people is essential and we have really focused on maintaining a family-like environment that allows us to really get to know and build mutual respect for our directors and clients.”

Mccoy | Meyer

Mccoy | Meyer

Mccoy | Meyer is a comedy directing duo made up of Eric Mccoy and Justus Meyer. They’ve crafted more than 75 commercials, short films and music videos, working with such top brands at Verizon, Reese’s Puffs Cereal, P&G, Mattel, and Famous Footwear. Their portfolio has earned them an American Advertising Award, a Telly Award, two AVA’s, and a Letter of Recognition from the U.S. Congress.

Simon Cracknell

Simon Cracknell has over a decade of experience as a director and photographer. The London native has a keen eye for performance-led visuals and detail, seen in his work on campaigns for the likes of Coca-Cola, Schweppes, Johnson’s, Pantene, Orange, and Nike, among numerous others. He has earned numerous industry accolades including a 2014 Cannes Bronze Lion for his Pantene “Labels Against Women” spot as well as multiple BTA’s, D&AD’s, Adfest and Kinsale. He has shot with top celebrities including Pierce Brosnan, Wayne Rooney, Raine Yang and Rosamund Pike.

 

Bryce Gubler

Bryce Gubler

Bryce Gubler brings a lifelong passion for filmmaking to craft dynamic action spots that unite relatable narratives with kinetic movements and striking imagery. He has shot with a number of top tier-one athletes, including Kobe Bryant, Christiana Ronaldo and Andy Murray. Bryce started his career as an editor, cutting numerous documentaries and episodic TV series for MSNBC, Discovery and BRAVO, before seizing the opportunity to segue into directing when he moved to Europe in 2006. From there, he began to rapidly build his directorial reel on docu-style campaigns, leveraging his natural talent for eliciting compelling real-people performances in commercials and branded content for international clients such as Canon, Nike, Red Bull and Adidas. Bryce is currently based in Venice, California, where he’s developing a feature-length documentary about the rise of digital connectedness and the fall of physical communication.

 

Nick Jones

Nick Jones

Nick Jones has directed over 100 commercials, online campaigns and promos, and over 75 hours of broadcast television spanning comedy, drama and entertainment. Jones combines a knack for casting, performance and dialogue with extensive technical knowledge of filmmaking, visual effects and new media, for projects big and small. After studying theatre design, film and photography at Central St. Martin’s School of Art in London, he began directing music videos and running nightclubs, and created the world’s first Drive-In-Demolition-Derby-Disco. He expanded his directing expertise into television, working with the likes of Simon Pegg, Martin Freeman and Ricky Gervais. He has helmed spots for such top brands as AT&T, Fiat, McDonalds, PlayStation, Citroen, Heineken, Ikea, Mercedes and Burger King, among numerous others.
