The ad shows Carpenter battling a mountain of luggage for her Redken A.B.C. Leave-In Treatment before being swept into a glitzy dream sequence with singing, dancing bellhops and even a sax-playing conditioner bottle. Equal parts campy and glamorous, the film highlights the product’s repair and heat-protection benefits while letting Carpenter live out her showgirl fantasy as Redken’s ambassador.
