Independent Filmmakers Project (IFP) has selected Washington Square Films (WSF) Executive Producer Katie Stern and Producer Jon Coplon as the 2016 Rotterdam Lab participants. The Rotterdam Lab, a five-day producers workshop, will run from January 30 to February 3, 2016. The chosen producers will engage in panel discussions and networking opportunities pertaining to film projects, as well as receive critique from industry leaders on their works in progress. The workshop takes place as part of the International Film Festival Rotterdam’s CineMart (IFFR/CineMart).

Stern, chosen from a competitive pool of applicants, will bring upcoming WSF productions to the lab. Most recently, she produced Alex Ross Perry’s Listen Up Philip through WSF, which premiered in Sundance, 2014, won the Locarno Special Jury Prize and was released by Tribeca Film. A second WSF production project, Brian M. Cassidy and Melanie Shatzky’s Francine, earned a nomination for an IFP Gotham Independent Film Award and was released by Factory 25. The Rotterdam Lab chooses their participants from current IFP members with at least one narrative feature production credit.
