WTA CEO Charlie Tetrick will take the stage in Austin during SXSW 2027, taking place March 15–21, for “NIL Unpacked: Inside the Athlete Marketing Economy,” a Sports Entertainment panel about how name, image, and likeness is changing college sports and creating new opportunities for athletes, brands, and universities.

As NIL continues to evolve into its own fast-growing creator economy, the panel will discuss what goes into building successful athlete partnerships, from identifying the right talent and structuring deals to measuring ROI and creating relationships that provide value beyond a traditional endorsement.

Tetrick will be joined by Sara Fischer of Axios, Jason Booker of Kansas Athletics, and Zarif Haque of The Good Game Athletics, bringing together perspectives from media, collegiate athletics, sports marketing, and athlete partnerships.

The panel will explore where the NIL economy is headed next and what brands need to know as college athletes take on a bigger role in marketing, content, and culture.
