New spot from The Richards Group, cut by ATK PLN, casts a dreamlike trance on restless explorers

 

Dallas-based creative studio ATK PLN brought the brand-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX roaring to life with the hypnotizing new spot “Sandman,” out of The Richards Group. ATK PLN editor Chris Collins collaborated with the agency to splice canyon-scapes and billowing sandstorms with footage of the TRX ripping through dunes and blazing roads through the desert, casting an air of intrigue and adventure in its wake. The spot served as the cornerstone piece of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Virtual Reveal, which was streamed to households worldwide on August 17, 2020.

With the tagline “Power other trucks only dream of,” Collins’ cut beautifully juxtaposes the serenity of the sweeping landscapes with the rugged ride of the truck, atop a lulling cover of the 1950s classic “Mr. Sandman.”
