As awards season heats up, Park Pictures is dominant with 3 spots atop the AICP shortlist for Direction and an Andy win, and newcomer HēLō joins the same list — a milestone for the hot new company in its first year of operation. Additional Press Kitchen clients landing on the AICP shortlist and other awards nominations include Sonic UnionZoic Studios and Butter Music and Sound.

Park Pictures tied MJZ with 3 spots vying for best Direction on the shortlist, including Lance Acord-directed Apple, “Misunderstood” via Media Arts Lab. The spot was also shortlisted in the Editorial category.

Acord is also shortlisted for direction on Procter & Gamble’s “Pick Them Back Up” via Wieden+Kennedy, which also appeared on the Editorial and Advertising Excellence shortlists, and won an Andy in the television category.

Park Pictures AG Rojas scored a Direction nod for Duracell “Trust Your Power” via Saatchi & Saatchi. The spot was also shortlisted in Editorial, Sound Design and Copywriting.

Park’s “Color Love Story” for Dulux was also shortlisted in the Visual Style category.

Superbowl favorite “Up for Whatever Happens” for Bud Light won HēLō director Jeff Tremaine a place on the Direction shortlist and appeared on the NEXT: Product Integration shortlist.

Sonic Union mixed shortlisted spot “The Man Who Couldn’t Slow Down” for Hennessy, which received a nod in AICP’s Cinematography category. The spot is also a finalist for Sound Mix at the AICE Awards.

Sonic Union also mixed Southern Comfort “Shampoo”, which is on the AICP shortlist for Licensed Soundtrack or Arrangement, and was named a finalist in Sound Mix for Chobani “Ransacked” at the AICE Awards.

Zoic Studios’ visual effects work on Intel/Toshiba “The Power Inside” helped the film receive its nod on the NEXT: Product Integration shortlist. Zoic also landed a 2014 Leo Award in Visual Effects for Once Upon a Time.

Butter Music + Sound was honored on AICP’s Original Music shortlist for Samsung’s “Best of the GS4.”
