Cutting Room, NY editor Merritt Duff and Station Films, NY director Harold Einstein tout lifestyles of the rich and credit-savvy in a new comedic campaign for Experian, “Ice” :30 and “Wall” :40, out of The Red Brick Road, London. The spots feature a well-heeled man with a truffle-hunting pig, a 6-foot ice luge and the highest credit rating in history.
“Ice” opens on a super “At home with the Credit Expert” before cutting to our hero and his trusty butler standing in front of an ice luge. This is no ordinary frat house booze luge; it’s carved in the shape of the web address, “CreditExpert.Co.UK.” The Credit Expert begins, “I’ve been thinking, we should spend a bit more time together.” The butler pours a blue liquid into one end of the luge so it flows toward the Credit Expert’s empty glass. The Expert continues, “Why not visit me at my personal website, CreditExpert.Co.UK, and learn more about your credit report. You can enjoy it for 30 days absolutely free.” The Expert chips off a part of the luge into his now-full glass and says, “No, no. I insist,” reinforcing the invite. The butler, pointing to the luge, declares, “Ice from the Sea of Tranquility. That’s on the moon.” “They know that,” exclaims the Expert and we close on the CreditExpert logo and super “Free 30 day trial.”
The campaign also includes a third spot, :30 “Space” to air at a later date.
