‘Decades of Confusion,’ from Partizan director Ally Pankiw, presents a one-of-a-kind spelling bee through the decades.

 

Well, here’s a delightful bit of celebrity-driven branded content that doesn’t skimp—whatsoever—on the branded part.

Loewe, the fashion company, on Thursday unveiled an entertaining two-and-a-half-minute short film starring Dan Levy and Aubrey Plaza—as a spelling bee host and contestant, respectively.

The film time-travels through the decades, giving the brand the opportunity to show off different looks on the actors. But there’s only one word Levy keeps asking Plaza to spell—the brand name, over and over … Loewe, Loewe, Loewe.

The film was written by Levy and directed by Partizan’s Ally Pankiw.

The film includes “iconic pieces from the Loewe archive,” according to the brand. There’s also an appearance by the car-shaped dress from Loewe’s FW22 runway.

“With impromptu moments, deadpan delivery, and colorful styling, ‘Decades of Confusion’ is unmistakably Loewe, the brand added.
