Oscar Mayer proves that bacon actually does go with everything.

Park Pictures directing duo Terri Timely and digital ad agency 360i cook up a spot for Oscar Mayer’s “Sizzl:” the only (real life) dating app exclusively for bacon lovers. Park Pictures captures the frustration singles feel, swiping left in digital spaces that just don’t cater to their needs. The commercial tracks the lead actress’ plight while she sorts through hard staring, over sharing and iguana-toting bachelors. Rather than make her hold a smartphone, the commercial drops tech barriers and dissolves profiles. The dating site’s users become real people staring up from the actress’ lap, reminding us all that someone waits behind the screen and choosing matches requires care.

After much chagrin, her match finally arrives, determined by nothing other than sizzling smoked bacon.

Leading up to the actors’ inevitable wedding, the narrator touts the twelve hours cured, twelve hours smoked bacon strips. The commercial then segues into an app preview overlay with one lucky profile: Christopher, 32 from NY.
