Actress Janet Montgomery

Los Angeles-based production companies Freewater Films and Boxer Films have commenced filming on the feature drama/comedy The Republic of Two, written and directed by Shaun Kosta, produced by Melanie Blair and Tim Bright, and executive produced by John Clark of Boxer Films. The film, currently in production in Los Angeles, will feature Janet Montgomery (lead), Brent Bailey (lead), Stephanie Nicole Lemelin, Brandon Fobbs and Hallock Beals.  The Republic of Two boldly examines the funny, sexy, turbulent and beautiful high-stakes game of heterosexual cohabitation in Los Angeles.

British-born actress Montgomery has a recurring role in HBO’s award-winning hit comedy series “Entourage” as Jennie, which recently began season 8 for the show’s final season. Later this year, Janet will appear alongside Paul Rudd and Emily Mortimer in “Our Idiot Brother”. She’s also known for her roles in the Oscar®-winning “Black Swan,” the U.K. show “Skins” and a starring role as Ames in Fox’s TV series “Human Target.” Bailey had his first network role in NBC’s “Life,” followed by a co-starring role in Showtime’s “Californication,” among others.  More recently, he had a role in the feature “Going Down in LA-LA Land” as Dean.

Lemelin has been cast in numerous films and TV shows including ABC’s “Good Behavior,” “Cavemen,” “Anonymous Rex” and recently added voice-over to Dreamworks’ “Kung Fu Panda” franchise. Fobbs has appeared in several TV series including, “The Wire,” “Southland,” “Without a Trace” and “The Shield.” Beals was featured in Clint Eastwood’s Oscar®-winning “Letters from Iwo Jima” and played Scott in Disney’s “The Last Song.”

Writer/Director Shaun Kosta is an award-winning screenwriter who cut his directing teeth on commercials, music videos and short films, including “Life Unkind” starring Sally Pressman of “Army Wives” fame.
