Los Angeles-based HELLO! director Evan Bernard helms a series of music videos featuring the final four band entries in FreeCreditScore.com’s ‘Band Search’ contest. Out of The Martin Agency, Richmond, VA, the credit rating site takes a cue from American Idol to find new comedic rockers for the product anthem. With a dedicated mircosite detailing the competitors’ journey, viewers can vote for their favorite band until August 9th at www.FreeCreditScore.com.
Initially, Bernard shot the audition footage of the semi-finalists, later pared down to 4 finalists, each with their own FreeCreditScore.com song. To find contestants, open casting calls were held in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, as well as open online submissions. The band Evolove hails from LA, Poets of Dance from Chicago, I Love Monsters from New York, and The Victorious Secrets submitted online. HELLO! producer Chris Kraft shepherded the first round of videos, and served as EP for the finalist round, with Dawn Fanning Moore producing.
Since the search began in May, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have been used extensively to promote the contest.
