HP’s security-focused campaign “The Wolf” continues with a new celebrity actor — Jonathan Banks of “Breaking Bad,” who’s here as a fixer to clean up the destruction left by Christian Slater’s evil cyber hacker.
The first two installments saw Slater’s character hacking financial companies and a healthcare network and now we see Banks’ character coming in to sort out the mess by installing the latest HP hardware, with the functionality to stop cyber attacks.
While not as compelling as the first two episodes, the latest films, by Giant Spoon and directed by Park Pictures‘ Jake Schreier, do resolve the story, and Banks has suitable gravitas as “The Fixer.” According to a statement by the agency: “The Wolf increased awareness of the dangers of unsecured printers and PCs, but we never wanted to leave our audience in fear. The plan was to first reveal the problem and then introduce the solution.”
