Award-winning production company WTP Pictures has welcomed director Matthias Hoene to its roster of talented filmmakers. Hoene is a versatile and accomplished storyteller, renowned for his VFX prowess and world-building. His exceptional creative skills transport audiences to a world of pure enchantment, evoking deep emotions through his narratives. Additionally, the creative studio has partnered with Chiara Chung and Gunder Kehoe via CCCo. for Midwest representation, joining a roster that includes Radical Media, London Alley, Brand New School, Neighborhood Watch, Raucous, and many more. An experienced sales executive and entrepreneur, Chung boasts two decades of collaborations with global agencies and brands on award-winning work in advertising, film, and media, ranging from multi-platform brand campaigns to interactive/experiential initiatives and installations. The joint partnership demonstrates WTP’s bolstered Midwest presence on the heels of their recent comprehensive rebrand and originals division launch.

 

With a remarkable track record that includes numerous award-winning commercials and three successful feature films, Hoene is no stranger to working with A-list actors and has gained a reputation for coaching exceptional performances from his cast. His commercials, in particular, leave a lasting impression as he skillfully infuses them with humor and captivating storytelling. Hoene brings his extensive expertise in various film techniques to WTP Pictures such as stop motion, cell animation, miniature sets, puppetry, motion control, and CGI, among others.

After studying film at The University of the Arts London as well as Central St. Martins, Hoene made his film directing debut with the cult classic “Cockneys vs. Zombies” in 2012, which premiered at the London FrightFest. He recently completed the thriller “Little Bone Lodge” and directed the first season of “Theodosia” for HBO Max. Hoene is currently developing projects like the sci-fi film “Hela 212” and the heist thriller “The Berliner(s).” He is also known for his visionary commercials, including two Super Bowl spots, and his impactful documentary “Dive,” which debuted at SXSW and World Oceans Day in an effort to promote ocean conservation.
