He recently finished a project with Northern Lights and partner production boutique Bodega for Sunday Night Football/NBC Sports.  Other upcoming work includes spots for GLAD, AT&T and Target.

Notes Northern Lights Executive Producer Robin Hall, “Alan brings a refreshing breath of San Francisco to NYC-based Northern Lights.  He is an intensely creative and experienced editor with a great laid-back, super-friendly demeanor in the edit room.  I’m excited to have Alan on the roster, and I look forward to the opportunity to introduce him to a New York clientele.”  Adds Chimenti, “With Northern Lights, I’m looking forward to having not only the opportunity to kindle East Coast relationships, but also for the chance to collaborate with the rest of the talented artists in Northern Lights creative family to generate some truly signature work.”

A San Francisco native, and SF State University graduate with an emphasis on editing, Chimenti began his career under the guidance of famed editor/compositor Bill Weber as an Assistant Editor at Western Images.  He went on to serve as an Editor at Western Images for 13 years, later moving over to Radium where he spent 7 years as Senior Managing Editor.  Over his career, he has had the opportunity to work closely with the creative forces at Colossal Pictures (Liquid Television) and Lucasfilm (Young Indiana Jones Chronicles) as well as numerous highly regarded commercial/music video directors.

Chimenti has received numerous industry accolades including a Monitor Award for Best Editing in the Soundgarden “Blow Up the Outside World” music video and a nomination for an MTV Music Video Award for Best Editing for his work on Green Day’s “Basket Case.”
