The sentimental Firestone “Pick Up” spot, directed by Park Pictures’ Emmy-winning director Lance Acord, picked up an award for Editing.

Park Pictures director Terri Timely makes pre-roll ads “Unskippable” by ending the action before it even begins in a humorous digital campaign for Geico out of The Martin Agency that took home an award for Humor. The spots “end” and the actors freeze after the first five seconds – hence making it impossible for viewers to skip the ad. The clever piece earned viral attention, landing on numerous popular online outlets as well as making an appearance on The Today Show and is also nominated for a 2015 AICP Next Award.

Butter Music and Sound earned an award for Original Music for its sonic stylings on the touching Pepto-Bismol short “Boy Raised by Goats”.

The spot, directed by The Sweet Shop’s Sam Holst out of Publicis Kaplan Thaler, takes a cinematic look at a boy who is left on the doorstep of a couple of goats that take him in as their own. Though they struggle with their apparent differences, their bond as a family keeps them together in the end. Butter’s original banjo-fied music amplifies the short with a charming country tone.
