Emmy-winning Park Pictures director Lance Acord shatters age and racial gaps with the unifying power of animals in the new :45 “The Walk” for Pedigree. In the spot, an elderly Caucasian man takes his dog for a walk, becoming defensive and borderline hostile towards the younger Black men he encounters on the way. When he comes face-to-face with a fellow owner walking his dog—who happens to be a young Black man—all prejudices melt away and the two engage in friendly conversation as their pets greet each other. The affecting spot is part of the brand’s global “Feed the Good” campaign and will run online, on YouTube and on Pedigree social media sites.
