Park Pictures is thrilled to announce the signing of acclaimed British director Tom Tagholm for joint US and UK representation.
Best known for the powerful “Meet The Superhumans,” his multi-award winning 2012 commercial for the Paralympic Games on Channel 4, Tom has directed an enjoyably eclectic body of work, first at 4Creative – where he started, and subsequently worked directly with advertising agencies.
Park Pictures co-founder Jackie Kelman Bisbee says, “I can recall only a few times in my career where a director’s reel has moved me from laughter to tears (and back again) in just a few beats. Tom is a powerful and poetic storyteller, we’re so pleased he’s joining Park Pictures.”
Fellow award-winning director & Park Pictures co-founder Lance Acord agrees. “I love watching Tom’s work. There’s purity in each film, which leaves a lasting impression. Nothing feels forced or contrived. Tom has an innate ability and great talent for storytelling. He also happens to be an excellent surfer, which never hurts.”
Tagholm has won most major creative awards such as Creative Circle, British Arrows and Cannes Lions, as well as several D&AD pencils, including the coveted black pencil for Superhumans.
“It’s no secret that I took my time deciding on the right home,” admits Tom. “I knew when I met Jackie, Lance and Stephen that they had created something quite special at Park Pictures ‐ in the US and over here. I’ve admired the work of their directors for some time now and I’m very proud to be a part of it.”

Also in 2012, Park Pictures Features debuted its premiere project with the Sundance hit Robot & Frank, directed by Park director Jake Schreier and starring Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, Liv Tyler and Peter Sarsgaard. Park’s feature God’s Pocket, directed by John Slattery and starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Infinitely Polar Bear, directed by Maya Forbes and starring Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Saldana, were both chosen for Sundance 2014 in dramatic competition.
