Park Pictures directing duo Terri Timely rewards mindful forest fire prevention with unexpected hugs from a much-personified Smokey Bear in their latest campaign out of Draftfcb Los Angeles for the Ad Council and the U.S. Forest Service. The campaign includes the humorous :30 “Bonfire,” featuring a stoic cell phone-addicted girl and her eager boyfriend utilizing an online guide to properly put out their fire. As they complete the final steps, Smokey Bear miraculously appears to reward the young man with a slightly awkward hug. The campaign also includes the additional :30s “Campfire” and “Montage” as well as radio spots, print, outdoor and digital elements, including the hashtag #SmokeyBearHugs.
