Los Angeles-based boutique live-action production company Society director Sean Pecknold dives into the uncharted territory of underwater apps to demonstrate the new waterproof technology in the Sony Xperia Z1S phone in a series of web films out of Wieden+Kennedy, Portland. The spots promote a new lineup of apps that were created to be used underwater, including the delightful “Goldie” app that displays a cheerful goldfish swimming across the screen when submerged, but dramatically gasping for air when taken out of the water. The additional spots “Plantimal,” “Photo Lab,” “Sink Sunk,” “Little Umbrella” and “Rainy-Oke” illustrate the remainder of the underwater app collection.
