New York-based audio house SuperExploder teams up with ESPN CreativeWorks and The Vault to raise the stakes of the BCS National Championship to those of a situation of national security in the comedic :30, “Auburn” for the release of Paramount’s Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. The spot, mixed by Jody Nazzaro, aired before the BCS National Championship on January 6th and features the film’s stars Chris Pine and Kevin Costner fiercely grilling an unseen, and apparently distracted, suspect who turns out to be Aubie, the furry mascot of the Auburn Tigers. The campaign also includes two additional spots featuring the Alabama and Stanford mascots under siege, which aired during the January 2nd Sugar Bowl game. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit will hit theaters nationwide on January 17, 2014.
