This weekend marks the world premiere of Writer/Director/Producer Shaun Kosta’s debut feature film “The Republic of Two” at the San Diego Film Festival. The film is a close examination of the high-stakes game of heterosexual cohabitation in Los Angeles. Co-produced by Freewater Films and Boxer Films, the film is also scheduled to screen as an official selection at the New Orleans Film Festival, Hollywood Film Festival, The Other Venice Film Festival and Asheville Cinema Festival.

Tim (Brent Baily) and Caroline (Janet Montgomery: “Entourage,” “Black Swan”) are young but getting older, committed but going nowhere, in love but long past the first flush of romance. The story of Tim and Caroline’s tempestuous shared life expands from a simple love story to an examination of the last leap from youth into adulthood, when losing touch with friends, settling for less than your ideal love or career, and caping with unfinished ambitions are facts of life.
