Zoic Studios has received a 2016 VFX Emmy® nominations, with a nod for “Outstanding Special and Visual Effects” for Amazon Studios’ new series “The Man in the High Castle.” Zoic’s Culver City and New York teams, led by VFX Supervisor Jeff Baksinski, worked closely with director David Semel to create effects that would fully engulf viewers in a distorted 1960s America, as imagined if the Nazis and Japanese had won WWII. The team incorporated period-authentic architecture styles and technologies, handling extensive environments work, creating and affecting building and major establishing shots, replacing anachronistic cars, buildings and signs and amplifying key action sequences.
