Visual effects powerhouse Zoic Studios is enjoying a busy 2015 fall TV premiere slate, working on multiple highly anticipated series that are garnering media and audience buzz. The list of shows they are working on includes “Once Upon a Time,” “Arrow,” “Blindspot,” “Quantico” and “Homeland.” Digital series include Netflix’s “Hemlock Grove,” for which they earned an Emmy nomination for their Season 1, and “The Man in the High Castle” for Amazon.

Zoic has been proud to work on “Once Upon a Time” on ABC since the hit show’s inception, and the studio has earned multiple VES and Emmy nominations for its visual effects on the series. The Dark Swan rises in the new season, which premiered this Sunday.

Anticipation has been amongst TV binge watchers Amazon’s premiere of “The Man in the High Castle” from Ridley Scott in November. Amazon’s adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s classic is expected to serve up a compelling world, by “rewriting the past, rather than conjuring a possible future,” (Washington Post.) The show explores what would have happened if the Allies had lost World War II, and will premiere in November.

“Homeland” kicks off its 5th season on Showtime this weekend, with media naughtily dropping spoilers right and left about the terrorism-centered plot, starring Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin and featuring killer VFX from Zoic Studios. Says Variety of the tension-fraught hit, “the series is equally notable for its CIA operatives, often as ruthless in dealing with each other as they are with the bad guys.” The series premieres October 4th.

Terrorism is also the theme for “Quantico”, which debuted last Sunday on ABC to solid ratings. The series follows FBI recruits whose lives and reasons for signing up are captured in flashbacks.

Zoic provided VFX for “Blindspot”, which got underway on NBC on September 21st, and has been garnering strong ratings as it unravels the tale of a beautiful Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) found naked in Times Square, covered in fresh tattoos and with no idea of who she is.
